Waukesha Catholic School System - Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader (AR) is reading management software. The goal of the program is to give each child reading practice opportunities. Students simply read from books from a variety of sources. Then they take a multiple choice test on the computer. Students can choose books to read from our library, from Waukesha Public Library or from the classroom teachers’ collection. In addition, students can test on any of the stories from their Reading Anthologies. The St Mary’s collection includes 2890 different quizzes to pick from. The St William's collection includes 3819 quizes. Accelerated Reader provides teachers with an easy and effective way to monitor all forms of guided reading practice. Accelerated Reader provides student with a fun and interactive way to improve their reading skills.
