The 2008 Waukesha Catholic track & field season was a great success! Three teams, the fifth grade girls, fifth grade boys and seventh grade girls won their divisions at the 2008 Catholic Memorial Greater Waukesha Track Championship. Overall, Waukesha Catholic finished second, less than 50 points (517.5 to 472) behind the winner, St. John Vianney. With strong classes returning we look forward to having a real shot to win the overall championship next year!

There are a number of upcoming summer (and fall) track and running opportunities. Please take the time to consider participating in them. We will be a much stronger team if athletes continue to run in the off-season.

St. Mary's 13th Annual Belltower Run
The 13th Annual St. Mary's Belltower Run will take place on Friday, June 20th at 7:00 p.m. A registration for the 5K run and walk is available below.

Waukesha Cross Country Festival
Waukesha Catholic (and Waukesha South girls varsity cross country) Coach Eric Lehmann is running a cross country meet for 7th and 8th grade teams in the fall. Waukesha Catholic does not sponsor cross country as a sport. If there is interest however, we can put a "club" team together for the meet. We would practice for about three weeks before the meet and then run the 1.5 mile event on Saturday, September 20th. Incoming 7th and 8th grade boys and girls who are interested in participating should contact Coach Mathie. An information sheet for the cross country festival is below.

Congratulations to Holy Apostles for winning the 2008 Battle for the Sword in the Stone! It was closely fought, with each school winning four divisions.
