Waukesha Catholic Curriculum

Waukesha Catholic offers an extensive curriculum
Waukesha Catholic is dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded curriculum program. Art, band, language arts, computers, mathematics, music, physical education, religion, science, social studies and Spanish - we have it all.

Standarized Test Scores
To continually monitor how well our students are learning, two standardized tests are given to our students each year. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ISBS) is taken by students in grades 3, 5 and 7 every March. Our 4th and 8th grade students take the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concept Exam (WKCE) every November.

ITBS Scores

These results reflect the outcomes of our present 8th grade students (Chart I), present 6th grade students (Chart II), and present 4th grade students (Chart III). The scores at each campus in each grade are measured as a percentile ranking with Waukesha Catholic students being compared and ranked with all students nationwide who take this test. The percentile rank means that the students’ average score is higher than the number listed (out of 100) so, a ninety-six percentile means that the students scored better than 96 out of every 100 students.

WKCE Scores

These results show a comparison of our Waukesha Catholic students to the students from the School District of Waukesha’s three middle schools. We have chosen to identify the three public middle schools as 1, 2, and 3. These results are expressed in percentages, i.e., the percentages reflect the total number of students taking the test and the percent scoring in the advanced and proficient levels of the exam.

We are all very proud of our students. We believe their scores reflect the excellent quality of instruction at Waukesha Catholic.

For more information about these scores, or if you have any questions, please contact Waukesha Catholic’s Principal in charge of Curriculum, Lisa Kovaleski at St. Mary Campus.
