Take the second step to success

Once St. Mary and St. William students are ready for sixth grade, they come together at St. Joseph Middle School Campus.

St. Joe's is an ideal transition from elementary school to high school. At this age, students are ready to take on additional independence and responsibility. At St. Joe's, students travel to different classrooms for their various subjects. Study halls are introduced. "TOOL Time" (Teachers Offering Opportunity to Learn) provides students time each Tuesday to get extra help in a certain subject, or to participate in such things as jazz band or Service Council. While uniforms are still required at St. Joe's, students are given additional clothing options they didn't have at the elementary level.

Our goal is to prepare students for high school. We prepare them with an extensive curriculum and long list of extracurricular activities. St. Joe's curriculum includes:

  • religion
  • literature
  • mathematics
  • science
  • social studies
  • Spanish
  • art
  • band
  • technology (including labs and internet)
  • music
  • physical education
  • educational field trips

St. Joe's offers a variety of extracurricular activities.

  • forensics
  • jazz band
  • Service Council
(focuses on service projects for community, church and school)
  • scouting
  • volleyball
  • basketball
  • track
  • ski club
